South African Wines launched into Taiwanese Duty Free

201403-03a

Earlier this year Everrich Duty Free launched nine South African wines into their duty free shops in Taiwan.

The wines include:

  • Award winning wines from Cederberg (highest winery in South Africa)
  • Ernie Els Wines (owned by the famous golfer)
  • Deetlefs (2nd oldest winery in South Africa under same family ownership)
  • Napier wines (from Wellington and made famous in the Japanese wine comic (Manga) – ‘Tears of God’)

To back up the launch of these new wines Anthony Budd ran five training seminars and tasting sessions in three cities and airports: On September 22nd at Taoyuan International Airport; September 23rd at Taichung International Airport and on September 24th at Kaohsiung International Airport.

Anthony Budd commented “ there is nothing better than talking to the sales staff about your wines and getting their feedback and first hand reaction’s. For many of the 160 sale staff it was their first time to learn about South Africa, the South African wine industry, the wineries and taste South African wines. I have to say they were all great groups and we had a lot of fun!”

“I was particuarly impressed by their dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm – I think we will have great sales results in the future! Thanks goes to Everrich Duty Free and all the staff for organising and making the training sessions a great success!!”

All wines can be tasted at the up-coming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, October 26-31 at The Diverse Flavours stand location: Red Village, Level 1, L34
